Vision:
A lovely painting with the fantastic idea of just escaping on an umbrella as your sail. Even before Mary Poppins men dreamed of such things. The sunset is very dreamy, carrying this fantasy idea of just flying away with a parasol.

Originality:
The silhouette against a sunset is a well-known idea, but flying away with the umbrella is pretty cool, and typically the sunset capture is more for photographs rather than paintings. So that is nice for a change <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

Technique:
I am very impressed by this sunset and those clouds! The transitions are very smooth. I thought this was a photograph when I looked at the thumbnail, and even part of me still wonders if those clouds aren't just a photograph. You can't even tell that they were painted! They are fantastic! The only thing I have an issue with is the figure, not in its form, but some of the edges are a little rough, which seems odd compared to everything else. This shows up mostly in the umbrella, and the hair. Some smaller brushes would make it easier to capture the flowing hair. Here, it looks too blocky. However, the rest of the figure looks good.

Impact:
Overall, this painting has a nice impact. The sunset is stunning, and the figure is very fun. It is a nice, solid piece that is nice to look at more than just once.
