Description
This is my entry for the "Provehito in Altum" contest hosted by 30SecondsToMarsGroup
Provehito in Altum in Latin literally means: "Launch forth into the Deep." To me this means.. launch forth into the "unknown." To fight for what you believe and to follow your dreams NO MATTER WHAT.. even if you don't know where they will lead you in the end.
I studied Marine Biology in college and my dream is to one day put that to good use. I hope to help protect our oceans and the precious ecosystems (like coral reefs) that live below the surface. (Either that or maybe dive for sunken treasure? haha) So I drew MY dream and Jared living his dream... with the lyrics "In defense of OUR dreams" (from "Kings and Queens" - 30 Seconds to Mars)
"Fuck you! This is what you should say to anyone trying to keep you from living your dream!" –Jared Leto

Hi! I'm participating in ProjectComment's Comment Tag and the word given to me was Accomplishment. I feel like the more accomplishments we gain with our dreams, the more we are inclined to defend it, so I chose this picture.
I like the overall feel of this picture, and the description that it goes with. It is very relatable, and quite touching. The contrast between the cool color and the warm color, and the silhouettes also really adds to the feel as well.
For the coloring technique, it's good that you added some wavy patterns to the water. However, maybe it would be even better if you could add some other variations of blue and green so that the depth of the water could be apparent. You could have also made the light source larger, as you have done with the other half of the picture. I feel like a balance in the sizes of the silhouettes could also have been good.
Actually, that's all I can say, because this picture is already really good!
Now it is turn for you to drop a comment for professorwagstaff. Your word is Romance. Have a nice day!
